Libya’s head coach, Nasser Al-Hadiri, has expressed his determination for his team to secure a victory against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifier. The Mediterranean Knights, who currently sit with just one point from two matches in Group D, view this match as crucial for reviving their chances of qualifying for the tournament.
Speaking at a press conference in Uyo on Thursday, Al-Hadiri acknowledged the challenge ahead, especially after their previous 4-0 defeat to Nigeria. He stated, “We lost 4-0 here before. Now we are back to see how we can improve our game. Being my first game isn’t going to put any pressure on me. We can only put pressure on Nigeria.”
Al-Hadiri emphasized the importance of the match, noting, “We know it’s difficult to win here, but in Libya, we must try to secure victory.” The Libyan coach’s confidence and commitment to improving their performance will be pivotal as they aim for maximum points against the Super Eagles.
