The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HSCF), Didi Walson-Jack, has reintroduced the federal civil service anthem to promote efficiency, integrity, and productivity among public servants. Initially launched in 2018, the anthem aims to raise awareness and instill a renewed sense of responsibility within the federal workforce.
At a media briefing in Abuja, Walson-Jack unveiled the rebranded audio and video versions of the anthem, stating that all civil and public servants, as well as Nigerians, would be encouraged to sing it. The anthem’s message emphasizes the core values of being “efficient, productive, incorruptible, and citizen-centered.”
“The anthem will inspire civil servants to embody its principles and drive reforms across the service,” Walson-Jack explained. She urged media outlets to help popularize the anthem nationwide, making its words and ideals a part of daily life for every public servant.
She also reiterated the government’s commitment to ongoing civil service reforms, emphasizing the need for creativity and innovation to accelerate the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021–2025. These reforms align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to enhance the public sector’s role in national development.
Walson-Jack expressed gratitude to the media for their continued support and pledged to maintain active engagement with journalists to ensure the success of the reforms.
