64th Independence: EFCC Chairman Advocates for Global Leadership and Anti-Corruption Efforts

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Anniversary, Ola Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to combating corruption.

In a message released on the EFCC’s official X account, Olukoyede urged increased dedication to tackling economic and financial crimes, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He made these remarks during a speech in Abuja on Tuesday.

Olukoyede emphasized the EFCC’s determination to create a corruption-free Nigeria, calling for greater collaboration from citizens in the pursuit of reform, progress, and sustainable development.

He stated, “At the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, we are steadfast in our fight against corruption in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As we celebrate our 64th Independence, let us move forward together in pursuit of meaningful reform and lasting development.”

Expressing optimism for the nation’s future, he declared that with collective commitment and passion, Nigerians can elevate the country to global prominence and eradicate corruption. “We can make Nigeria greater. We can rule the world. We can conquer corruption!” he proclaimed.
