On Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, praised the country’s resilience and entrepreneurial spirit in the face of global adversity.
In a post on X.com on Tuesday, Okonjo-Iweala emphasized that despite Nigeria’s current difficulties, its citizens should take pride in belonging to “one of the most interesting countries in the world.”
She stated, “Although we are experiencing tough times, we should acknowledge that we come from a nation filled with exciting and entrepreneurial individuals! I am grateful for this and thank God for our unique circumstances!”
In related news, President Bola Tinubu, during his Independence Day address, highlighted ongoing economic reforms aimed at enhancing the welfare of citizens. He reassured the public that his administration is working to lower the cost of living across the country.
