The Lagos State Task Force has arrested 54 individuals for illegal ticketing and extortion of trucks and commercial vehicles. The arrests were made in areas such as Isolo, Mushin, Apapa, and along the Lagos-Badagry expressway.
CSP Adetayo Akerele, chairman of the task force, emphasized that the ongoing operation is part of efforts to eliminate illegal practices that disrupt business operations. The arrested suspects will be prosecuted to help restore order and prevent further extortion.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to report suspicious activities to aid the crackdown.
