Dr. Orji Kalu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization and former Governor of Abia State, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Katsina State following the death of Hajia Dada Musa Yar’adua, the mother of the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
In his tribute, Kalu praised the late Hajia Yar’adua for her virtuous life, highlighting her commitment to God and humanity. He noted that she lived a life of simplicity and selflessness, qualities that endeared her to many beyond her immediate community.
Kalu, who also holds the traditional title of Mayaki Katsina, acknowledged the significant motherly influence Hajia Yar’adua had on her children and others, urging women to draw inspiration from her legacy in their daily lives.
In his condolence message, Kalu encouraged the Yar’adua family to uphold the admirable qualities of their late matriarch, emphasizing that her good deeds will remain in the hearts of many.
“I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Hajia Dada Musa Yar’adua, the mother of the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’adua. She was a virtuous woman who lived a life of purpose, dedicated to serving God and humanity. Her humility, care, selflessness, and steadfastness earned her widespread respect and admiration,” Kalu stated.
He offered prayers for Allah to grant Hajia Dada Musa Yar’adua eternal rest in al-Jannah Firdaus.
