Bank of America Named Official Bank Sponsor for FIFA World Cup 2026
FIFA has announced Bank of America as the Official Bank Sponsor for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. This landmark partnership highlights the financial institution’s dedication to fostering wellness, championing excellence, and making a meaningful impact through the power of sport.
In this role, Bank of America will collaborate with FIFA to enhance the growth of the global game and extend the tournament’s influence to football enthusiasts of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The partnership, which extends through 2026, aims to forge stronger connections with global communities, aligning with the bank’s global and local strategies to engage audiences worldwide.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed enthusiasm about the new alliance, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Bank of America as a global sponsor for this groundbreaking FIFA World Cup. Their dedication to community engagement both domestically and internationally aligns with our tournament goals and represents a significant milestone for FIFA as we work to benefit the global football community.”
As FIFA’s first global sponsor in the banking sector, Bank of America will leverage this partnership to connect with communities through its responsible growth initiatives, including community outreach, youth programs, and financial education. Bank of America Chair and CEO Brian Moynihan emphasized, “Football unites the world in a way no other sport does. The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the largest and most innovative tournament to date, featuring 104 matches with 48 teams across 16 Host Cities in Canada, Mexico, and the USA. This event promises a global stage for brands to connect with players and fans as the competition reaches unprecedented levels of engagement.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially designated Morocco as the host for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League finals. The tournament will take place from November 9 to November 23, as announced on CAF’s official website.
Morocco previously hosted the last edition of this prestigious competition. Among the eight teams competing this year is Nigeria’s champions, Edo Queens. The current title holders are Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa.
The tournament offers significant financial incentives, with winners receiving $400,000 and runners-up taking home $250,000.

On the same evening, Ronaldo’s Portugal faced Scotland in the UEFA Nations League but was held to a frustrating 0-0 draw, leaving the superstar visibly upset post-match.
Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, is reportedly planning a January transfer move for Barcelona forward Ansu Fati. After spending last season on loan at Brighton in the Premier League, Fati, now 21, returned to Barcelona but has struggled for game time under new coach Hansi Flick.
Once considered a potential successor to Lionel Messi, Fati’s limited opportunities at Barça have fueled speculation about a possible departure. According to *AS*, Mourinho is keen to bring the Spain international to the Turkish league, offering him the chance for regular football at Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce’s sporting director, Mario Branco, is expected to initiate discussions with Fati’s representatives soon, confident that the promise of consistent playing time will help secure the forward’s move.
