Media personality and actor, Denrele Edun, recently opened up about his battle with stroke during an interview with Channels Television.
Edun revealed that he was severely ill at one point, experiencing symptoms of stroke. Despite facing this health challenge, he continued working. He described how the stroke affected half of his face, causing his facial muscles to droop and difficulty in basic activities like drinking water.
“I was very sick at the time because I had a stroke on half of my face. It never happened before, but it didn’t stop me from working. My face was drooping on the right side, causing water to pour out of my mouth when I drank. I also had trouble breathing and hearing,” Edun shared.
Despite the severity of his condition, Edun maintained his commitment to his work, refusing to make excuses or seek pity from others.
Doctors informed him that the infection was incurable and had no specific treatment, adding to his challenges.
In a related development, singer Charly Boy shared his own battle with prostate cancer, expressing gratitude for surviving the ordeal. He credited God for sparing his life and thanked his family for their support during his health struggles. Charly Boy also expressed appreciation for the Nigerian doctor who performed his surgery.
In December, Charly Boy revealed on Instagram that he had become a prostate cancer survivor, reflecting on the challenges he faced in 2023 and the significance of surviving such a serious illness.
