Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has opened up about the emotional toll death rumors had on his family. In June, false reports of his death spread online, alarming both fans and relatives. Quadri swiftly debunked the rumors via Instagram, assuring everyone that he was “alive and well.”
In a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, the 65-year-old actor expressed disappointment in those who spread the false news. He revealed that the rumors caused unnecessary stress and anxiety within his family. Despite staying in regular contact with his children abroad, they were particularly distressed, repeatedly calling to confirm his well-being.
Quadri said, “When I saw the news, I said ‘Weldone, you content creators.’ Although no one would be happy when death rumors spread about them, I leave the person behind it to God’s judgment. If causing sadness is their way to attain success, so be it.”
He added that the situation became overwhelming as his family reached out constantly to ensure he was safe.
