In a recent interview, popular singer Timi Dakolo opened up about his journey to winning the heart of his wife, Busola. He shared how they met in church and revealed that she wasn’t initially interested in a romantic relationship. Despite her reluctance, Dakolo was persistent in his efforts.
He humorously recounted how his wife used to feel embarrassed when he picked her up in the branded Picanto car, which he had won from the inaugural season of Idols West Africa in 2007. Dakolo recalled how his wife tried to friend-zone him, but he refused to give up. “I said, ‘Okay, don’t worry. I will shock you. Don’t look down on me,’” he shared.
The couple married in 2012 and has since built a family, welcoming three children. Dakolo’s story reflects his dedication and persistence, which ultimately led to a lasting and loving relationship.
