Seun Kuti: Diddy Boosted Speed Darlington’s Fame, Not Burna Boy

Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has distanced himself from the ongoing feud between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington, emphasizing that he has no role in their dispute.

The saga began after Speed Darlington accused Burna Boy of having an illicit relationship with American music executive Diddy to secure a Grammy. This accusation led to Speed Darlington’s arrest.

During an Instagram live session, Seun Kuti addressed fans attempting to draw him into the controversy. He clarified that his relationship with Burna Boy, including receiving a diamond gift from him, does not equate to being his adviser.

Seun also highlighted Diddy’s role in Speed Darlington’s rise to fame, stating:
“Diddy made Speed Darlington popular. He reposted ‘Bangdadang,’ which brought attention to the song. Despite all the music I’ve made, Diddy never reposted any of mine.”

The Afrobeat artist firmly expressed his intent to remain uninvolved in the conflict, focusing instead on his own music and career.
