NPFL: Don’t Be Complacent – Ikorodu City Captain Warns Teammates

-

Ikorodu City captain, Waliu Ojetoye, has urged his teammates to remain grounded despite their recent success in the NPFL. Following their 4-2 victory over Akwa United at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, which extended their unbeaten run to six matches, Ojetoye emphasized the need for continued focus and hard work.

In a post-match interview, Ojetoye warned against complacency, stressing that the team must not get carried away by their impressive form. “We need more concentration and to keep up the momentum because there are still teams at the top, and some are also aiming to break into the top spots,” he said.

Ikorodu City’s victory pushed them to third place on the NPFL table, but Ojetoye reminded his teammates that their work is far from over as they aim to continue their push for success throughout the season.
