Jada Pollock Speaks Out on Being Defined as Wizkid’s “Baby Mama”

Talent manager and mother of Wizkid’s children, Jada Pollock, has shared her frustration about being reduced to the label of “baby mama” instead of being recognized for her own accomplishments. In a candid interview with BET UK, Pollock expressed her dissatisfaction with how the media often focuses on her relationship with Wizkid rather than her own professional successes.

Pollock recalled a specific incident when, after Wizkid’s Grammy win, she wrote a statement celebrating the growth of Afrobeat. However, the media focused on labeling her as “Wizkid’s baby mama,” which she felt undermined her role as an entrepreneur and talent manager.

She said, “When Wizkid won a Grammy, I wrote a statement about how far Afrobeat has come. They published the statement, and the caption was ‘Wizkid’s baby mama.’ The narrative does not recognize that you’re an entrepreneur and a hardworking businesswoman. I’m not only a mother but also a manager, and I’ve helped build a legacy.”

Wizkid and Jada began their relationship in 2014, and together, they have two children: Zion, born in 2017, and AJ, born in 2022.
