The once-celebrated marriage between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko has descended into a public feud marked by accusations and counterclaims, drawing widespread attention on social media.
What began as a fairy-tale union in 2019 now appears to be facing serious turmoil, with both parties airing grievances that suggest the relationship may be nearing collapse.
In a recent statement, Senator Nwoko alleged that he had given Regina’s mother N125 million over the past two years, responding to reports that Regina accused him of neglecting her family. He further claimed that the breakdown of their marriage was due to Regina’s alleged drug and alcohol use, which he said led to violent incidents and property damage.
According to Nwoko, Regina allegedly attacked three of his staff members within 48 hours before moving out of their home to an undisclosed location where she supposedly had “unrestricted access to drugs.” He said he had offered to help her through rehabilitation both in Abuja and abroad, while firmly denying claims of domestic violence.
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here,” he said.
Regina Daniels has, however, denied all the allegations. In an emotional video shared online, she admitted that her family was going through a difficult time but insisted that she married Nwoko “for love, not money.” She accused the senator of using his influence to have her siblings arrested in an attempt to force her into returning to rehabilitation, expressing fears that her youngest sister could be targeted next.
“I will protect my children and my mother. Please stop insulting my family; we are already in pain,” she said.
The public dispute has triggered intense debate across social media, with fans and commentators divided in their sympathies. Viral videos, interviews, and statements from both sides continue to fuel speculation about the fate of their marriage.
As tensions persist—Nwoko focusing on rehabilitation and Regina demanding freedom and justice—their once glamorous relationship has turned into a highly publicized conflict, with love, power, and reputation all hanging in the balance.
