Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has stated that Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho must train well if they are to be selected for the Carabao Cup quarter-final match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Both forwards were dropped for United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Sunday, and Amorim has made it clear that he will maintain high standards for his squad. Speaking ahead of the Carabao Cup fixture, he emphasized that selection depends on the players’ training performances.
“We have one more training, but it’s the same as the other players. If they train well, then I have to make a choice,” Amorim said. “We’ll see at the end of training – I expect the best of each player every day, so we will see after training.”
This approach highlights Amorim’s commitment to maintaining a competitive and disciplined environment at Manchester United.
