Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo continued his fine form at the weekend, scoring his fourth goal in as many games in a thrilling 2-2 Premier League draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old Cameroon international opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, heading past Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from a well-placed cross by Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo. The strike marked Mbeumo’s sixth goal of the season as he continues to find his rhythm following a slow start after his summer move from Brentford.
Mbeumo will now shift his focus to international duty as Cameroon prepare to face the Democratic Republic of Congo in a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifying play-off on Thursday in Rabat. A win would see the Indomitable Lions advance to a final clash against either Gabon or Nigeria, with a spot in next March’s intercontinental play-offs on the line.
