Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the 8th National Assembly and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC), has hailed the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention as a triumph of unity and discipline, while spotlighting the unique qualities of the party’s newly elected leaders.
Dogara’s message went beyond congratulatory remarks, painting a portrait of a leadership team defined by character and competence. He described Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the new National Chairman, as a stabilizing figure whose wisdom and calm presence will strengthen the party’s foundation. Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary, was praised for his sharp intellect and organizational skill—qualities Dogara said will be vital in consolidating the APC’s internal cohesion.
He emphasized that each officer elected brings a distinct set of experiences and dedication, forming what he called “a formidable team ready to drive the APC’s mission of progress and stability.”
Dogara also commended the Convention leadership, led by Hon. Aminu Masari and Sen. Pius Anyim, for their remarkable organizational skills and transparent conduct. He described their stewardship as “a masterclass in leadership and discipline, setting a new benchmark for political gatherings in Nigeria.”
Turning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dogara paid glowing tribute to his vision and courage, describing him as “a leader of destiny whose commitment to unity and prosperity continues to inspire confidence across the country.”
Reflecting on the broader meaning of the Convention, Dogara declared: “This gathering is not just about electing leaders; it is a proclamation of resilience, diversity, and readiness to serve. It shows Nigerians that the APC is deeply rooted in democratic ideals and committed to the nation’s prosperity.”
He concluded with optimism, expressing confidence that the new leadership team will rise to the occasion: “With the caliber of leaders chosen, Nigeria’s future is secure, and the promise of progress unstoppable.”
