Nollywood actor and producer Kunle Afod has firmly addressed and dismissed rumors that he impregnated a woman in Mushin, Lagos. The rumors surfaced when a troll attacked his wife, Desola Afod, on Instagram, accusing her of being “razz and senseless” and claiming that Kunle had impregnated another woman.
Desola, known for her outspoken defense of her husband, responded playfully, stating she would use the troll’s comment to “catch cruise” (have fun). Kunle Afod, on his part, sarcastically commented on the situation, suggesting that the women he supposedly impregnated must be “ghosts” as he expressed a desire to finally meet them.
Desola further showed her support by reposting her husband’s statement on her Instagram page, hailing him as the “Man of the Year.”
This incident isn’t the first time Desola has publicly defended Kunle against allegations of infidelity. Earlier this year, she responded to another troll who accused her husband of having an affair in Ibadan. Desola made it clear that she would stand by her husband regardless of the circumstances, even if it involved infidelity.
Her stance on marriage and fidelity has led some to label her as having low self-esteem, especially after she openly stated that she would not leave her husband over cheating, as it doesn’t guarantee the next man would be faithful.
Last year, the couple faced a rough patch when Desola posted several cryptic messages hinting at marital issues, but the couple has since reconciled and continues to stand by each other in the face of public scrutiny.
