Nollywood actress Mary Remmy Njoku has offered important advice to women in response to recent reports about two missing girls.
The two friends, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh, a Ghanaian, were reported missing after traveling from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to Abia State on April 27 to visit a friend they met on Facebook. Tragically, follow-up reports indicated that their bodies were later found.
Reacting to this incident, Njoku advised women to take precautions to avoid becoming victims, emphasizing that if something tragic happens, society often blames the victims. She expressed her sorrow over the situation and called for a change in mindset.
She wrote: “Dear Ladies, whatever you do, don’t ever be a victim in Nigeria. Because, if you are, you’re finished! Even if you die, ‘it’s your fault.’ SAD. We need to start doing better as a people! We need to reset our minds.”
