Solomon Buchi Critiques Yul Edochie’s Ministerial Calling

-

Twitter influencer Solomon Buchi has shared his thoughts on Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s recent venture into ministry. In a detailed Twitter post, Buchi raised questions about Edochie’s spiritual guidance, church affiliation, and mentorship, emphasizing the actor’s recent controversies involving adultery and polygamy.

Buchi acknowledged Edochie’s challenging past months and suggested that the actor might benefit from intensive mental care rather than engaging in what he termed a “charade” of ministry. He expressed concern that Edochie’s actions were making a mockery of the Christian faith and causing embarrassment to Christians.

While acknowledging that God can call anyone, Buchi stressed the importance of a structured approach to starting a ministry and urged Edochie to focus on personal growth and healing. Other public figures, including Noble Igwe and Nina Ivy, have also expressed skepticism about Edochie’s sudden transition to ministry.

Despite the criticisms, Yul Edochie proceeded with the launch of his online ministry, The Salvation Ministry, and conducted his first online service on January 28th. The actor clarified that he wasn’t abandoning his acting career but believed that doing God’s work was his destiny.
