    The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Wednesday celebrated Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary with a blend of patriotic reflection and practical empowerment, unveiling the Tinubu CARES Initiative and the NYCN Entrepreneurship Development Fund as part of efforts to strengthen youth participation in national development.

    The event, held in Abuja, began with an address by NYCN President, Comrade (Amb.) Solomon Adodo, who paid tribute to the sacrifices that won Nigeria’s independence while urging young people to embrace their role in the country’s economic transformation. He said the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had placed the youth at the centre of Nigeria’s future, stressing that the time had come for Nigerian youths to match government’s confidence in them with action, innovation, and enterprise.

    Adodo declared that the launch of the Tinubu CARES Initiative symbolised the President’s genuine concern for young Nigerians, not only in policy but in practical interventions that would improve livelihoods. He explained that alongside the initiative, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund was being introduced to give young business owners zero-interest financing, enabling them to translate ideas into thriving ventures. According to him, “From markets to garages, from streets to communities, we will carry this hope directly to the people.”

    To demonstrate this commitment, the Youth Council left the ceremonial ground and proceeded to the Area 1 Market in Abuja, where it engaged directly with traders and artisans. Weeks earlier, the Council had consulted with the market community to understand their most urgent needs. On Independence Day, those promises materialised as traders received state-of-the-art equipment, including modern shoemaking machines, industrial tailoring machines, and other business tools, with some items valued at over ₦600,000 each.

    The market empowerment exercise sparked jubilation, with beneficiaries describing the intervention as life-changing. A shoemaker who received one of the machines said it would allow him to take on more apprentices and increase his daily production. A female tailor, almost in tears, described the support as “the kind of empowerment that goes straight to the people, not to political godfathers.” Market leaders also hailed the Youth Council, noting that the initiative would raise productivity, improve household incomes, and inspire more young people to embrace vocational skills.

    Adodo, who personally handed over some of the equipment, reiterated that the interventions were part of a larger plan to ensure that Nigerian youths are not left behind in the country’s development drive. He also used the opportunity to commend President Tinubu for placing young people at the centre of his administration’s agenda, while acknowledging the National Assembly for creating legislative frameworks such as the establishment of Regional Development Commissions, which ensure no community or region is neglected.

    The Independence Day activities concluded with a colourful youth rally, where young Nigerians pledged unity, hard work, and commitment to building a nation where talent thrives and opportunities abound. For many at the event, the combination of patriotic reflection and direct empowerment made this year’s Independence celebration especially meaningful, as it highlighted how national promises could be translated into visible impact at the grassroots.

    As thousands of young Nigerians gathered in Abuja for the Nigeria Youth Walk for Democracy and Renewed Hope to mark this year’s Democracy Day, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has commended the President of the Senate, His Excellency, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, for his stabilizing leadership and strategic collaboration with the executive arm in advancing the nation’s democratic governance.

    In a spirited address delivered by NYCN President, Comrade Solomon Adodo, the council celebrated Senator Akpabio as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s institutional harmony, whose legislative stewardship continues to uphold and safeguard the core tenets of democracy.

    “The peace and continuity we enjoy in our democratic process today is largely attributed to a functional and cooperative National Assembly. Under Senator Akpabio’s leadership, the Senate has worked with maturity, dialogue, and foresight, providing the enabling environment for the Renewed Hope Agenda to thrive.” Adodo said.

    Held in Abuja on Thursday, with participants marching from Unity Fountain to Eagle Square, the walk attracted thousands of youth leaders, civil society groups, student unions, and government officials. While paying homage to the heroes of June 12, the event also spotlighted modern champions of democracy, with Senator Akpabio singled out for his role in ensuring institutional balance and effective policy implementation through legislative action.

    The Council, praised the Senate’s collaborative posture, noting that it has enabled the swift passage of youth-centered reforms, economic development legislation, and critical national security bills, all instrumental in addressing Nigeria’s complex challenges.

    “Akpabio’s leadership in the Senate has been pivotal in reducing friction between the branches of government, creating a more stable political environment where national policies are aligned and executed seamlessly.”

    Comrade Adodo, also emphasized that the success of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is closely tied to the National Assembly’s support in passing responsive and timely legislation. Under Senator Akpabio, the Senate has maintained a steady focus on national interest, transparency, and progressive engagement.

    “Democracy is a collective enterprise. It demands cooperation, sacrifice, and vision.     It is with renewed hope and high optimism that I stand to address the Nigerian youth today! We give God the glory for keeping us alive and keeping the country together, despite daunting and hurting challenges. Welcome to 2024.

    Since my captainship of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) from 2019, we have passed through a lot of remarkable epochs. Some of them are very pleasant, and some very troubling or challenging. In all of it, we have steered the ship, making the voices of the youth heard and indeed, we have survived all anchored of an unwavering hope and undying tenacity. Having come to the evenings of my stewardship in the National Youth Council of Nigeria, this shall be my last address as we prepare for the conduct of elections to pave way for a new breed of vibrant young leaders to emerge and steer the affairs of the Council.

    May I begin by commending the resilience of the Nigerian youth, I offer my salute and extend my gratitude to a generation that has refused to be bowed; we have been challenged but not chained; hopeful and confident; progressive and productive. It is my earnest belief that by our sheer determination and abiding faith, we have crossed the toughest times.

    It is on record that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda came with excruciating reforms, but these were only made to save us from a pending and inevitable economic doom. We have had to take it with stoicism and equanimity. The criminal subsidy regime was ended and the worst forex round tripping crime ever known to this country was also ended. It dealt us some blows to the masses also, but it was the right and righteous things to do. We thank the Nigerian youth for your patience and urge you to continue to support President Tinubu. It is still “Morning Yet on Creation Day.” And the signs of massive improvement are already showing in few months.

    Apart from the Dangote Refinery which will certainly begin full production this year, the Port Harcourt Refinery is also ready to start production. These are undeniable achievements which will change the economic narratives. President Tinubu did not start these projects, but he has clearly opened the economic space and swiftly completed them. Others are following in quick successions. We must remain focused, vigilant and have faith in the Renewed Hope Agenda.

    As a nation, we are faced with security challenges. My heart goes out to the families and communities that have lost their loved ones to insecurity, especially the people of Plateau State whose Christmas Celebration was turned into mourning. We, condemn in the strongest terms that act of monstrosity. May the soul of the victims rest in peace.

    The Nigerian Youth herein reiterate our faith and unflinching confidence in the Nigerian Military under the command of the Chief of Defence Staff – Gen. C. G. Musa and other Security Agencies who are facing an unusual war which is asymmetric and frustratingly tricky. We urge them not to relent. Our prayers and thoughts are with them. We call on all Nigerians to give them needed support and cooperation.

    Having interacted with some persons in the upper echelons of the Tinubu Government and the Security Agencies, we are confident that succor is on the way and this administration as led by President Tinubu will do more to restore peace to the country. We therefore call on the Military and other Security Agencies to maintain crushing pressure on all terrorists and criminal elements till they are eliminated from our territorial space. May we seize this medium to commend the Director General of the Department of State Services, Mr. Yusuf Magaji Bichi for providing the needed intelligence to foil several attacks planned by enemies of the State. The Nigerian Youth shall keep playing our role in assisting with information to counter the activities of all renegade elements.

    It is a fact that we cannot run a country where we are not progressively active stakeholders. I therefore urge the youth to continue to be solution providers rather than naysayers and destabilizing tools in the hands of purveyors of crisis and agents of instability.

    To this end, let me recognize the strength of young people on the internet, social spaces and mainstream media. It is a great strength. But I plead that our intellect, creativity and energy should be channeled to the promotion of “Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress” which is the motto of Nigeria. We must shun all calls for ethnic hatred, religious division and regional supremacy tussles. Our strength is in our numbers and unity. We must therefore focus on our respective Comparative advantages for the overall economic growth and development of the nation. We all need each other as a nation to emerge stronger

    As we plan to exit the stage to allow younger people take the stage, we plan to harness the strengths of the youth and middle-aged on another platform to keep the light of the young people on. All stakeholders are invited to ensure that young Nigerians are not allowed to only react before the are called negative names or engaged. Government must be proactive. We therefore call on the Federal government and the respective State governments to embark on massive technical and vocational education training programs for youth to guarantee improved local productivity and improve our balance of trade. Our vast lands should also be deployed to engage youth in innovative agriculture to shore up agricultural productivity, tackle food inflation and ease the plight of the masses. Governments at all levels should ensure that all intervention programs are geared towards sustainable productivity and jobs creation rather than political appeasement and looting. The 75billion naira Nigerian Youth Investment Fund has remained largely unaccounted for and its impact has not been felt by the youth and the nation because it was used as a tool for political settlements while a considerable amounts were stolen. Mr. President should ensure this is investigated and such should not be allowed to reoccur.

    May we use this medium to thank President Tinubu for already entrusting a lot of young people with high responsibilities starting from Ministers, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Heads of MDAs. He must not relent. And on our part, we will reciprocate with our love and support.

    The Ministry of Youth in particular has taken an unusual trajectory in terms of the agencies and backgrounds of the Minister and Minister of State. For the first time, the Ministry is run by young persons, with the correct youth backgrounds. We hope they break away from the old tradition that disconnected the youth from Government because merchants took over the Ministry. We urge all young appointees of the government to be more in the field with their sleeves rolled up better understand the felt needs of the youth and convey the needed government intervention to them.

    Finally , we herein appreciate the National Assembly under the leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio for sacrificing their holidays to ensure that the 2024 Appropriation Bill was passed into law in record time. The Nigerian Senate led by Sen. Akpabio and the Federal House of Representatives led by Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas have shown that there can indeed be a harmonious working relationship between the Executive and the Legislature amidst the appropriate checks and balances. We urge the National Assembly to continually give Mr. President the veritable support at all times.

    I urge all Nigerian Youth to maintain faith and unflinching confidence as we march into the year knowing that Nigeria is in safe hands under the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidency. We shall be open at all times to interface with the youth and provide solutions to emerging challenges as we march on to take our pride of place in the frontlines in the comity of nations.

    Fuel Supply: NYCN constitutes Task Force , expresses optimism on steady supply

    The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, has inaugurated a Task Force with a view to enforcing measures taken by the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, (NNPC) to mitigate the difficulties faced by motorists as a result of short supply of premium motor spirit otherwise called petrol.

    Recall that the NNPC had on Tuesday directed a 24-hour operations at petrol deports and other outlets in order to hastily dissipate the long queues being experienced at filling stations.

    To this end, the NYCN inaugurated a Task Force to monitor the 24-hour fuel distribution and sales across the 6 geopolitical zones of the Country. The Task Force is directly being supervised by the NYCN President nationally while the Zonal Vice Presidents are to monitor in their respective zones.

    Speaking during the inauguration in Abuja, the NYCN President, Solomon Adodo, said it became imperative to support the efforts of the NNPC to ensure that Nigerians do not go through further hardship in buying fuel across the country.

    According to Mr Adodo, the NYCN, while engaging with stakeholders in the petrol ecosystem understood that failsafe strategies had been emplaced to ensure normalcy is restored within the shortest possible time.

    He said: “While we commend the steps taken so far by NNPC to recall the contaminated fuel, we are committed to teaming up with relevant agencies to ensure that normalcy returns in the country’s fuel supply chain.

    “We are satisfied with the prompt action taken by the NNPC and its partners to ensure 24 hours supply and sale of the product which we can confirm are already yielding positive results.

    “Though there are still queues at petrol stations, constant supply of the product as seen during our inspection of some fuel stations in the Federal Capital city is an indication that the queues will disappear within the shortest possible time.

    “We have so far gotten confirmation from several filling station managers that they have on ground several trucks of petrol for discharge and are expecting more. We also elicited their commitment to ensuring that normalcy is restored in sale of petrol”, the statement added.

    The NYCN, therefore, urged Nigerians to desist from panic buying, especially as the NNPC had confirmed that it was expecting the supply of at least 2.3billion litres of the product to in Nigeria between now and the end of February. While urging youth not to take advantage of the situation for nefarious activities, the NYCN President departed Abuja for inspection of the Zonal monitoring Teams.

    The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has commended the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) on its handling of the scarcity of the petrol motor spirit (PMS) experienced across Nigeria in recent times.

    The council also urged the nation’s oil company to take a step further and compensate car owners whose vehicle were damaged by the contaminated product.

    The NNPC had revealed that the scarcity was occasioned by the importation of adulterated fuel by suppliers.

    Addressing a press conference on Friday, in Abuja, NYCN president, Solomon Adodo explained that the council was satisfied with steps taken by the company to ensure free flow of uncontaminated product.

    Comrade Adodo who addressed journalists after an emergency session of the leadership of the council, said the umbrella youth body did set up a task force to ascertain the situation.

    He said, “The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. led by Mele Kyari immediately ordered the holding back of all the affected products in transit (both truck and marine) after it discovered the presence of methanol in four petrol cargoes imported by MRS, Emadeb/ Hyde/Ay Maikifi/Brittania- U Consortium, Oando and Duke Oil.

    “Our task force also found out that the NNPC also asked oil companies to embark on emergency supply of petrol to replace cargoes that were rejected as a result of their poor quality.

    “These remedial actions aimed at arresting the use of the contaminated fuel inadvertently disrupted the country’s fuel supply chain and led to the damage of several cars.

    “We are satisfied with the prompt action taken by the federal government in ordering for a full investigation into the bad fuel that damaged engines of some vehicles.

    “In particular, we commend the transparency and full disclosure adopted by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. under the leadership of Mallam Mele Kyari in getting to the root of the problem. Without doubt, the decision of NNPC to order the quarantine of all unevacuated volumes of the contaminated fuel saved the nation from a monumental scandal.

    “Without doubt, the decision of NNPC to order the quarantine of all unevacuated volumes of the contaminated fuel saved the nation from a monumental scandal. This is a welcome departure from the past when the activities of the oil giant was shrouded in secrecy.

    “Already, Mele Kyari in pursuit of the transparency regime of NNPC under his leadership disclosed that the cargoes quality certification at the loading port in Belgium by Am Spec Belgium indicated that the product complied with Nigerian specification but that petrol brought into Nigeria usually does not include the test for the level of methanol content.

    “In order to forestall future occurrence of importation of methanol blended fuel, a mechanism should be put in place to test the level of methanol content to make sure that it is in full compliance.

    “The ongoing investigation by the federal government must be transparent, holistic, far reaching and targeted to prevent further occurrence. Government must impose punitive sanctions/ punishment on corporate entities found to be in breach of their mandate or liable for this scandal.

    “We hereby call on government to compensate Nigerians whose vehicle engines were damaged by the methanol blended fuel.

    “We call citizens not to engage in panic buying as NMDPRA has announced the arrival of 300million litres of fuel. This arrival will help resupply the nation’s disrupted fuel chain and clear the queues being experienced at filling stations.

    “The scarcity of fuel that was experienced is not part of any secret plan of government to introduce full deregulation through the back door. The source of the problem has been identified and will be solved. The present administration has achieved so much in the petroleum industry and we are confident that it will do everything within its power to protect this legacy and pass it on to the incoming administration at the end of its tenure next year”, Adodo added.

    Buhari strides putting N’Delta on path of trade, tourism hub -NYCN

    National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has said the attention being given to the Niger Delta region by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has restored peace in the area.

    In this vein, the NYCN believes that the country can leverage on availability of skilled labour in the region to promote investments from both government and private sectors with a view to making the region trade and tourism hub in Africa.

    NYCN President, Solomon Adodo made the remarks when youth groups from the Niger Delta region paid him a thank you visit on the ocassion of the world youth skills day 2021 to appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari and intimate the NYCN President on the benefits of the various skills training programs offered by the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.

    Adodo, while commending the Buhari administration for the many empowerment programmes ongoing for the youths in the region expressed satisfaction that the trainings were yielding positive results as witnessed by the peace being enjoyed in the region.

    “Greater percentage of the youths in the region now have requisite skills in ICT, Agriculture, amongst other fields of entrepreneurship. This feat undoubtedly has lifted a huge number of our youths off the streets and crime. Militancy has become a thing of the past since the youth are now productively engaged. It should be noted that the Forensic Audit of NDDC also ensured that these skilled youth of the region have been engaged in several projects of government in the region,” he said.

    According to the youth leader, as many youth acquire skills, government and private businesses will be motivated to establish more industries and the end result will invariably boost economic development.

    Therefore, there is need to sustain the training for more youths to acquire relevant skills to contribute to the economic and social development of the region and Nigeria in general, Adodo stated.

    who spoke on behalf of the groups intimated of the resolve of the youths in the region to embrace peace.

    He explained that the various youth groups were actively engaging their members of the need for all embrace education and the various skill acquisition trainings at their disposal.

    NYCN Commends IGP Over Handling of #ENDSARS Protest

    The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has commended the Inspector- General of Nigeria Police, Mohammed Adamu for the professionalism exhibited by Police personnel during the unfortunate #Endsars protest that resulted to loss of lives and destruction of properties across the country.

    NYCN President, Solomon Adodo at a Press briefing on Thursday in Abuja explained that while the several incidences that gave rise for the agitations to end the now-dissolved Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), were genuine, the ensuing violence was regrettable, howbeit the tact deployed by the Police IG saved the day.

    It would be recalled that the protest which began peacefully later metamorphosed into days of killings and looting across the country by hoodlums. 22 police officers also lost their lives in the process while 205 police stations and formations were torched.

    According to the NYCN President, the situation would have resulted to greater damage had the police leadership failed to act tactfully in the interest of the nation. Adamu

    “The leadership of the Police took responsibility during the fracas in the most professional manner. The personnel were professional and exercised maximum restraints in the face of eminent danger. We find this conduct highly commendable.

    “We are not unmindful of the role Nigeria police play in safeguarding the individual and public space and therefore they must be given the necessary support. If the police is demoralised, the tendency is that criminals will take over the public space, and the country, in the end anarchy will prevail. Therefore, no amount of provocation, no amount of distractions should make the Police shy away from its constitutional responsibilities”, the NYCN stated.

    The umbrella body of the Nigerian youth further commended the step taken by the IGP in setting up an assessment committee to ascertain the loss suffered by the Nigeria Police Force across the country during the #EndSARS protests for the purpose of strategic planning, re-construction and re-equipment, as well as for future reference and visit to families of slain personnel on behalf of the Force was also lauded. The Council advised citizens particularly the youth to cooperate with the Police in the legitimate discharge of their duty while also ensuring that the body will maintain vigilance to ensure that no law abiding Youth is victimized or brutalized again.

    The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has faulted the blockage of Nigeria House in London by scholars of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over unpaid fees.

    Recall that the protesting scholars, about 30 of them, are part of the 94 students absorbed into the scheme in 2018.

    The NYCN in a statement signed by its President, Solomon Adodo explained that the protest was totally uncalled for. The decision of the scholars to go ahead with the protest despite swift actions taken by the Presidency and the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs in ensuring that the outstanding fees were cleared is worthy of commendation.

    “While it is unfortunate that there was a delay in paying the fees, we undertook an independent scrupulous investigation on the matter from the Commission, the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. From our findings, the hitches in making the payment was genuine. Also, those hitches have been overcome, sorted out and the funds dispatched.

    “Consequently, we find the insistence on protesting as a unnecessary step and a ploy to dent the good image of our dear nation. While protest is a rightful and democratic means of expressing grievances, care must be taken for it not to be abused.

    It should be recalled that the Interim Management of the NDDC, on Friday, assured the beneficiaries of its scholarship programme in the United Kingdom that their outstanding claims will be paid within a week. True to this commitment, the funds have been released this week.

    The Commission said, “some unforeseen circumstances, including the upheavals that followed the EndSARS protests by youths, constituted stumbling blocks for the speedy implementation of the payment plan”.

    The protest is the second to be staged by the students in a month who are lamenting the hardship brought upon them by the delay in payment of their dues. Now that they have been paid we expect them to refrain from such unpatriotic protests as it might pass an entirely different message to the world.

    Comrade Adodo advised the students to focus on their studies and be good Ambassadors of the country. He further assured that the interest of the Nigerian Youth will always be protected anywhere in the world and the President Muhammadu Buhari government has always given attention to the genuine concerns of Nigerian Youth.

    The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has charged Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello to consider his victory at the Supreme Court as another opportunity to concentrate on Peace-building and development of the state.

    in a congratulatory message said the landmark judgement has cleared the coast for the actualisation processes of the mandate given to the Governor and his deputy, by the people.

    While addressing journalists, Comrade Adodo tasked Gov. Bello to ensure that Kogi remains peaceful for development and economic growth to thrive. He commended the Governor’s visionary developmental blueprint while stating that the Youth Council will partner with the Kogi State government to trigger rapid industrialization in the State.

    “With issues in the election over, we urge the Governor to focus on consolidating on development, peace-building and progress. The task before the Governor in ensuring that Kogi State remains very peaceful, secured, prosperous and progressive is a task which we believe he knows, appreciates and will actualize. The Nigerian Youths, which he has consistently identified with, wish to urge him to continue to do even better than his best in this regards.

    And in doing this, it is our hope that his hands of fellowship to those eminent and illustrious Kogi State citizens who are on the opposing political side remain open. It is time to bring everybody together in the interest of developing the state. Politics has been defined as war without bloodshed (though unfortunately, there is bloodshed at times). Therefore, after this ‘war”, it is expected that there should be reconciliation and fence-mending. We are aware that His Excellency, Yahaya Bello is already on this path. He must not be deterred as the leader of the State.
    By the same token, we equally congratulate Engr. Musa Wada of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Ms Natasha Akpoti of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for a colourful political outing, and choosing to explore the law court in airing their misgivings about the outcome of the election. That is very civilised. The history of Kogi State politics will be kind to them. But we equally urge them to join the Governor in building a prosperous Kogi State. The task is also on them to show leadership by accepting the invitation of the Governor to work together to develop Kogi State.

    In all, our prayers, thoughts and support are with Gov. Yahaya Bello as he steers the ship of his State from the ever-present turbulent waters to the envisioned safe shores for the good of all Kogites”.

    Youth Groups Accuse Youth Minister of Polarising NYCN

    A Coalition of Youth Organisations, has accused the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare of compromising his position in managing the affairs of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).

     

     

    The group in a statement signed by its convener,  Comr. Adakole Ochai, and made available to journalists accused the Minister of hobnobbing with one Sukubo Sara-Igbe as President of NYCN despite a court ruling restricting him from parading himself in such capacity.

     

     

    The group also urged the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II not to allow the Minister soil his reputation by involving himself with illegality vowing to resist any attempt by the minister, monarch or whosoever to arm-twist the hands of the law and youth movement in Nigeria.

     

     

    “Recall that there is a pending litigation in the case of Incorporated Trustee of The National Youth Council of Nigeria VS Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo and the Minister for Youths and Sports Development.

     

     

    “In the above mentioned suit, Justice Taiwo O. Taiwo of Federal High Court  9 granted an injunction restraining the said Comr. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo from parading himself as the President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria pending the determination of the motion on notice”

     

     

    The group explained that the Order of the Court has not been vacated nor has it been appealed against therefore is still valid and subsisting stressing that it was appalled that the Minister would embark of such illegality to tarnish the image of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

    “We have it on good authority that the Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare has received gratification from some disgruntled elements who want to hijack the NYCN to use as a tool for their selfish goals. We are equally irritated that the minister is trying to foist illegality on one of the most revered monarchs in the world, Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II by organising an event in collaboration with the impostor, Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, who is parading himself as NYCN President.

     

     

    “Let it be known that Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo has never been elected by any congress of the NYCN. Though riding on the back of some disgruntled elements in the country seeking relevant, he made himself President but was stopped by the law court”, the statement averred.

     

     

    The group urged the minister to with immediate effect refrain from going on with the kangaroo event he is planning with the those parading as executives of the NYCN to save his name and the integrity of the Buhari administration adding that failure to do so will lead to occupation of the ministry and demand for his sack.

     

     

    “We have watched the minister’s body language for some time and have come to conclusion that he has been compromised. It is either he is receiving all manners of phony youth organisations in his office and assuring them of his cooperation or hobnobbing with the impostor Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo as NYCN President”, the statement added.
