How NDLEA uncovered cocaine hidden inside suitcase walls

-

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recently uncovered a sophisticated method of concealing illicit drugs within the walls of suitcases. In a particular operation, NDLEA operatives intercepted a 42-year-old Indian woman, Ms. Neetu, at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. She was carrying 72 parcels of heroin, each weighing approximately 150 grams, factory-sealed in wafer wraps and disguised as chocolates. The total weight of the heroin was 11 kilograms.

This discovery highlights the innovative concealment techniques employed by drug traffickers, who continually adapt their methods to evade detection by law enforcement agencies. The NDLEA’s vigilance and expertise in identifying such concealment strategies are crucial in combating drug trafficking and ensuring public safety.
