President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the redeployment of 11 federal permanent secretaries, a move announced by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).
In a statement signed by the Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the redeployment aims to optimize the performance of key ministries. The reassignments are as follows:
- Gabriel Aduda: From Ministry of Women Affairs to Ministry of Defence
- Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel: From Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to Ministry of Education (to understudy the current Permanent Secretary)
- Temitope Peter Fashedemi: From Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to the State House
- Dr. Shuaib Mohammed Lamido Belgore: From Ministry of Regional Development to Ministry of Housing and Urban Development
- Dr. Marcus Olaniyi Olowolabi: From Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security
- Engr. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso: From State House to Ministry of Works
- Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana: From Ministry of Defence to Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development
- Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata: From Ministry of Works to Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
- Raymond Omenka Omachi: From Common Services Office, OHCSF, to Ministry of Finance (Special Duties)
- Mrs. Tinuke Watti: From Ministry of Sports Development to Ministry of Regional Development
- Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro: From Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs to Ministry of Women Affairs
All officials have been directed to complete their handover processes by December 31, 2024.
This reshuffle is expected to streamline operations and enhance governance efficiency across federal ministries.
