A bomb explosion rocked the Bassa community in Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State, on Thursday morning, killing one person and injuring four others. The victims were reportedly on their way to their farms when the blast occurred.
Eyewitness Ahmed Almustapha shared that three of the injured victims lost their legs and are receiving treatment at the IBB Specialist Hospital. Almustapha, who is related to the victims, confirmed this is the second bomb explosion in Bassa this month.
A similar incident earlier in the month also claimed one life, as another victim was heading to the farm.
Almustapha has urged both the Niger State and federal governments to offer support to the victims, helping them return to their farms and restore their livelihoods.
