Lobi Stars head coach, Mika Lönnström, has praised his team’s determined performance following their hard-fought 1-0 victory against Plateau United.
Waheed Adebayo’s first-half goal secured the crucial win for the Makurdi side, which significantly improved their chances of avoiding relegation.
The victory saw Lobi Stars climb from the bottom of the table to 15th place, accumulating 19 points. Lönnström expressed confidence in his team’s progress and ability to remain in the top flight.
“Our players are continuously improving. We have young talents who give their all for the Lobi Stars badge, and they are driven to succeed,” the Finnish coach said post-match.
Lobi Stars will next face Bendel Insurance on Sunday.
