PSG Renew Interest in Ademola Lookman Ahead of January Transfer Window
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reignited their interest in Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman as the French giants look to bolster their attack in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Parisians’ recent struggles in front of goal have prompted the club to revisit their pursuit of the 26-year-old Nigeria international. Lookman has been in scintillating form since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 for €9.35 million plus bonuses, amassing 33 goals and providing 20 assists in 81 competitive appearances for the Italian side.
During the previous season, Lookman made 45 appearances, contributing 17 goals and 10 assists. His standout moment came in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, where he netted a stunning hat-trick to secure the trophy for Atalanta.
Lookman’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top European clubs, including Manchester City, Liverpool, and Juventus, reportedly interested in him ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.
According to Fichajes, Atalanta have set an asking price of between €65 million and €75 million for Lookman, a figure likely aimed at deterring potential suitors in January. The Serie A club is currently competing in the UEFA Champions League and vying for European positions for next season.
In the summer transfer window, PSG’s previous offer of between €25 million and €30 million, including bonuses, fell significantly short of Atalanta’s €50 million valuation, as reported by TuttoAtalanta last month.
Lookman’s stock has risen further following his recent Player of the Match performance in Atalanta’s impressive 3-0 victory against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League, where he scored one goal and provided an assist, becoming only the second Atalanta player to achieve this feat in a single Champions League game.
Affectionately known as “The King of Bergamo” by Atalanta fans, Lookman’s consistent performances have also placed him in contention for the 2024 African Player of the Year award.
As PSG continues to monitor Lookman’s situation, it remains to be seen whether the French champions will meet Atalanta’s valuation or if the Italian club will hold firm in their desire to retain their prized asset. With the January transfer window approaching, football fans will be keenly watching to see if Lookman makes a high-profile move to the French capital or continues to shine at Atalanta.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially designated Morocco as the host for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League finals. The tournament will take place from November 9 to November 23, as announced on CAF’s official website.

Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, is reportedly planning a January transfer move for Barcelona forward Ansu Fati. After spending last season on loan at Brighton in the Premier League, Fati, now 21, returned to Barcelona but has struggled for game time under new coach Hansi Flick.
Once considered a potential successor to Lionel Messi, Fati’s limited opportunities at Barça have fueled speculation about a possible departure. According to *AS*, Mourinho is keen to bring the Spain international to the Turkish league, offering him the chance for regular football at Fenerbahce.
