Kylian Mbappe has expressed dissatisfaction with his La Liga debut for Real Madrid, calling the 1-1 draw against Mallorca “not a good result.”
The French star, who had an impressive start with a goal in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta, struggled to make an impact in the league opener on Sunday. Despite high expectations and speculation about a potential 50-goal season, Mbappe could not find his rhythm.
Rodrygo scored for Real Madrid, but Mbappe and Vinicius Junior were often positioned too close together on the left flank. Mbappe, still adjusting to Carlo Ancelotti’s tactics, acknowledged the difficulties in integrating into the team’s high-profile attack.
On his Instagram story after the match, Mbappe reflected on the game, stating, “Not a good result. Heads up and already focused on the next one. Hala Madrid.”
Real Madrid will look for improved performance from their attacking trio of Mbappe, Vinicius, and Rodrygo in their upcoming La Liga match against Real Valladolid.
