As the Italian Serie A season approaches, Lazio has assigned the number 7 jersey to Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. The Nigerian international, who recently joined Lazio from Turkish Super Lig club Hatayaspor, will wear the number 7 shirt for the upcoming season.
Lazio announced the roster and jersey numbers for the season on Thursday, confirming Dele-Bashiru’s new role within the team. He joins a select group of Nigerians to have played for the Rome-based club, including former Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi.
